"Good Rebels" to stir things up at Summerfest this Saturday

MILWAUKEE – The Good Rebels will return to Summerfest this Saturday, June 30 at 2:30pm at the Miller Lite Oasis Stage. The group includes Dan Attanasio (bass, vocals), son of Mark and Debbie Attanasio. This will be their fifth appearance at the “World’s Largest Music Festival” (prior to 2011, the band was known as “Pan Am”).

The Good Rebels’ rock style draws from influences such as the Beatles, Oasis, and The Kinks. Brothers Steven Lundy (lead vocals, guitar) and Gary Lundy (guitar, vocals) are also longtime members of the band, which formed out of high school in the Los Angeles area.

The band’s new record is being released in stages, with one new song debuting each month. Songs may be purchased and downloaded at the band’s website, http://www.thegoodrebels.com/  . Last year, the Good Rebels released their debut EP – “Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet the Good Rebels.”

“The Troubadour has held significance to a number of incredible acts over the years, from Elton John, The Eagles and the Buffalo Springfield to Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam and Radiohead.… The band looked like they were having a blast as they led the audience through a 45-minute set of original songs, including standouts “Save Me” and “He Called Himself Dan,” which takes a new perspective on Paul McCartney’s Beatles classic “Rocky Raccoon.” They capped the night with a blistering rendition of a song that singer/guitarist Steven Lundy introduced to the crowd as one that they “unfortunately did not write” – David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel.”
