Gyorko leaves rehab game with leg tightness

SAN DIEGO -- Second baseman Jedd Gyorko, who is on a Minor League rehabilitation assignment with Double-A San Antonio, left Wednesday's game as a precaution after feeling tightness in his right leg. The Padres said Gyorko will continue to be evaluated.

Gyorko has been on the disabled list since June 10 with a right groin strain. He was to play two games in San Antonio before rejoining the Padres on Friday in Miami, where he was to be reinstated from the 15-day disabled list.

Gyorko had a hit in his first at-bat Wednesday, but felt tightness trying to stretch the hit into a double. He remained in the game on defense for two innings before taking himself out of the game.

The Padres are off on Thursday before opening a four-game series on Friday against the Marlins.
