Harrison on track to move forward in rehab

ARLINGTON -- Matt Harrison could possibly throw his final bullpen session Monday before taking the next step toward rejoining the Rangers. The left-hander expects to throw 60-65 pitches. If everything goes well, Harrison said he'd throw a batting-practice session Wednesday.

"I'm probably not going to throw as many bullpens as I thought I would," Harrison said.

He said he threw 40-45 pitches in his previous bullpen session, and he'll increase the workload by 20 pitches Monday.

Harrison underwent a second operation in May to address a herniated disk in his lower back. Harrison said earlier this month he looked to return at the end of August. It appears he is ahead of his projected target.
