Chris Archer and the Rays host the Athletics at Tropicana Field; Ivan Nova and the Pirates square off against the Marlins at PNC Park; the Nationals' Max Scherzer takes on the Rangers in the nation's capital, and the Mariners' James Paxton puts his 5-0 record on the line versus the Blue Jays at Safeco.
Milwaukee's Chase Anderson and Arizona's Robbie Ray also go head-to-head at Chase Field when the Brewers and Diamondbacks battle for bragging rights among the most surprising National League clubs.

Archer takes aim: OAK@TB, 1:10 p.m.
Archer has racked up at least 11 strikeouts in five of his past seven starts, and has completed at least six innings in six of those outings. The Tampa Bay ace allowed just two runs -- on solo homers -- over seven innings in his previous start against the White Sox, but suffered his fourth loss of the year.

He will look to bounce back in the series finale against Oakland, which sends right-hander Jesse Hahn to the hill looking to build on six stellar frames in a win over Toronto his last time out.
Super-Nova: MIA@PIT, 1:35 p.m.
Nova has been one of the most consistent pitchers this season, pitching at least six innings in all 12 of his starts. Perhaps even more impressive is his 6.29 strikeout-to-walk ratio, which ranks among the league's best. The righty has walked just seven batters all season.

Nova tries to keep rolling against former teammate Jeff Locke, who left Pittsburgh for Miami in free agency this offseason. Locke, who is 0-1 with a 3.48 ERA, makes his third start as a Marlin.
Mad Max attempts to right ship: TEX@WSH, 4:05 p.m.
After the Rangers took the first two games of the series from the Nationals in D.C., Washington hands the ball to Scherzer as it tries to salvage the series with a win in the finale.

Scherzer's sensational season has been highlighted by three consecutive victories in which he has allowed just one run in each game. The 32-year-old has tallied a ridiculous 38 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings during that span.
Texas turns to 32-year-old rookie Austin Bibens-Dirkx (1-0, 4.08) as it goes for the series sweep.
Full of surprises: MIL@ARI, 4:10 p.m.
Not many would have predicted the Brewers and D-backs to be two of the best teams in the NL as the season nears mid-June, and yet, here we are with Milwaukee leading the NL Central, and Arizona well over .500.

Anderson is on fire lately, winning three straight starts without allowing a run in that span. He's also lasted at least seven innings in all three games.
Ray has been equally dominant, taking home victories in each of his last four outings while permitting just one run to cross the plate in that span.
Paxton striving to stay perfect: TOR@SEA, 4:10 p.m.
The Mariners' best starter this year despite missing time with a forearm ailment, Paxton has yet to lose in 2017. Even without his best stuff Tuesday against Minnesota, he pulled out his fifth victory behind five innings of three-run ball.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound lefty will toe the rubber for the ninth time this season opposite Toronto lefty J.A. Happ, who is 0-4 with a 5.33 ERA. Happ lost just four times and was a 20-game winner in 2016.
Rolling Rockies: COL@CHC, 2:20 p.m.
Colorado (41-23) owns the best record in the NL entering play Sunday, and the club is showing no signs of slowing down. The Rockies came into Wrigley Field on Thursday and took the first three games of the series from the defending World Series champions. Now, they are trying to earn their first sweep of the Cubs since 2012.
Rookie sensation Antonio Senzatela (8-2, 3.56) gets the ball opposite 2015 NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob Arrieta (6-4, 4.46) for the afternoon finale.
