Hisashi Iwakuma, Taijuan Walker, Stephen Pryor placed on 15-day DL

Mariners Opening Day Roster Finalized at 25

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced today that three pitchers: RHP Hisashi Iwakuma, RHP Taijuan Walker and RHP Stephen Pryor have been placed on the 15-day disabled list.

All three moves are retroactive to March 21.

Iwakuma was placed on the disabled list with a torn extensor tendon in his right middle finger. He has not appeared in a game this spring, but has been cleared to begin a full throwing program.

Walker was placed on the disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. He has pitched in minor league intrasquad games, but did not appear in an "A" game this spring.

Pryor was placed on the disabled list while recovering from surgery to repair a torn latisimus dorsi tendon in his right shoulder. He has not appeared in an "A" game this spring, but also pitched in minor league intrasquad games.

Today's roster moves leave the Mariners with 25 players in their Major League camp. This is the 25 that will begin the 2014 season on Monday at the Los Angeles Angels.
