Home Field Makeover application deadline is Saturday
If your local youth baseball or softball home field could use a professional overhaul, complete an application online at www.reds.com/community.
The winning field makeover project may include but is not limited to:
- Infield and outfield restoration
- Field grading and leveling
- New fencing and backstop
- New infield dirt
- Grass seeding
- Project work such as painting, landscaping and other minor repairs
The project also will include support from Reds field vendors, a visit by members of the Reds grounds crew and other amenities. The field must be located in Ohio, Indiana or Kentucky.
In 2011, Pioneer Park in Kenton County, Kentucky was selected as the winner of the inaugural Home Field Makeover.
Since 2006, the Reds Community Fund has helped renovate more than 300 fields across Reds Country.
