Indians 2012 home opener Thursday, April 5 vs. Blue Jay AT 3:05 p.m. CT -- SOLD OUT

CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Indians 2012 Home Opener on Thursday, April 5 at 3:05PM against the Toronto Blue Jays is SOLD OUT. This is 20 consecutive home opener sellouts for the Indians, 19 straight at Progressive Field since the ballpark opened in 1994, and the final opener at Cleveland Stadium in 1993 (73,290 in attendance.) 2012 also marks the club’s 112th Opening Day in Cleveland as a charter member of the American League.

The tradition and pageantry of Opening Day in Cleveland, including the 150x300 American Flag, eco-friendly balloon release, a Budweiser Clydesdale drawn wagon, special video presentations, and starting lineups, will be featured as the Indians usher in another season at Progressive Field. The giant flag will be unfurled and presented by 200 Progressive employees who have been selected in a company contest for their 75th anniversary.

Gates will open at 1:00PM, and ALL FANS will receive a 2012 Indians Magnet Schedule, courtesy of Progressive Insurance.

Seats still remain for the two additional games of the Opening Series, presented by Progressive Insurance, versus Toronto (April 7 at 1:05PM and April 8 at 1:05PM). Fans can also enjoy the concluding games of the homestand against division rival Chicago White Sox April 9-11.

The Indians encourage fans to be in their seats by 2:30PM to enjoy the Opening Day festivities.
