SPECIAL CEREMONY - ALEXIS BUSCH PLAQUE DEDICATION: In celebration of Girls Day, the Giants will dedicate and unveil a commemorative plaque in the Giants Dugout recognizing Alexis Busch, who served as the first batgirl in Major League Baseball history. During the Giants inaugural season at AT&T Park, then Pacific Bell Park, Busch became the first batgirl in Major League Baseball history, a role she held for two seasons, and paved the way for other girls to follow. Busch passed away in a sailing accident in 2012, but her family will be in attendance for the pre-game dedication and ceremony.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - GIRLS DAY: The Giants are teaming up with BAWSI and Coaching Corps to host the Annual Girls Day at AT&T Park. This day will take place to celebrate the organizations that are dedicated to empowering women in sports in the Bay Area. The Giants will be joined in a pre-game ceremony by BAWSI, Coaching Corps and the University of California, Berkeley Women's Crew team - 2016 NCAA Rowing National Champions.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - GIANTS COMMUNITY FUND EDUCATION DAY: The Giants Community Fund will host the annual Education Day at AT&T Park to recognize both the incoming and graduating classes of the Harmon and Sue Burns Scholars. Each year, 10 eighth-grade participants of the Junior Giants program are chosen as Harmon & Sue Burns Scholars based on their leadership skills, character, academic potential and Junior Giants involvement. Each scholar also receives a $5,000 scholarship. The Harmon and Sue Burns Scholarship Program was named in honor of the late Giants owners Harmon and Sue Burns and is underwritten by the Burns Family Foundation and Franklin Templeton Investments. Prior to a pre-game ceremony honoring the scholars, the scholars and their families participate in a Q&A session with Will Clark and Dave Flemming.
KIDS RUN THE BASES - Presented by See's Candies: Kids 14 & under are invited to run the bases following Sunday's game. Participants must exit the ballpark after the game and re-enter at the right field viewing portal from the Port Walk. After kids have finished running the bases, they will be directed out of the ballpark by event staff behind home plate.

COMMUNITY EVENT - U.S. NAVY SHIP NAMING: The United States Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, will name a new U.S. Navy ship in honor of Harvey Milk, who served in the Navy from 1951-55. The naming ceremony will take place at Treasure Island earlier in the day and be commemorated during pre-game festivities at AT&T Park. The second ship of the next generation of fleet replenishment oilers (T-AO 206) will be named USNS Harvey Milk after the civil and human rights leader who became one of the first openly LGBT elected officials in the U.S. when he won a seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - JEFFERSON AWARDS: The Giants have teamed up with The Jefferson Awards Students In Action to recognize high school students making a difference in their community. A homeplate ceremony with Hunter Strickland, the student, and their advisor will take place before the game.

Bennett will then attend the Giants game, where he will be honored in pre-game festivities with a special presentation by Giants President & CEO Larry Baer. Bennett is scheduled to perform his legendary song, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" for the fans during the game.

SPECIAL EVENT - DOG DAYS OF SUMMER: Presented by Zynga: The Giants will host the annual Dog Days of Summer event at AT&T Park. This special event ticket includes admission for the fans and one dog to the game. Dogs and owners will be invited to participate in a pre-game on-field costume contest and parade. *All tickets must be purchased in advance. Only one dog will be allowed per adult and all dogs must be over six months old. The Giants reserve the right to refuse any dog. A veterinarian will be on site in case of emergency. COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND: Guide Dogs for the Blind provides guide dogs and training in their use to visually impaired people throughout the United States and Canada.
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - JUNIOR GIANTS COACHES AND TEAM PARENTS RECOGNITION DAY: The Giants will celebrate the Junior Giants Coaches and Team Parents that have won their league's Willie Mac Award in a pre-game ceremony on the field. These coaches and team parents are being saluted for exemplifying the junior giants spirit through their leadership and teamwork. In addition, more than 1400 coaches and team parents have been invited to this game as a thank you for generously dedicating their time and efforts to improve the lives of junior giants in their communities.

BART TRACK MAINTENANCE AND STATION CLOSURE - On multiple weekends, starting on Saturday, July 30, 2016 through October, BART trains will not run between the Daly City and Glen Park stations. As a result, the Balboa Part Station will also be closed. The weekend closures are due to critical track safety repairs and upgrades which will reduce track noise and make improvements at the Balboa Park Station. Fans arriving at the Balboa Park Station will be directed to bus stops during this closure to access bus and MUNI Metro connections. SamTrans will provide free express busses between Daly City and Glen Park stations. SFMTA will also provide a free local shuttle for the three stations: Glen Park, Balboa Park and Daly City. The following weekends are affected by this closure, and alternative transportation is recommended.

50/50 RAFFLE - Presented by HERO: The Giants Community Fund will conduct a 50/50 Raffle during each game to support and expand services through the Junior Giants program and through grants to non-profits in the areas of health, education and violence prevention. The winner of the 50/50 Raffle will take home fifty percent of the total amount of tickets sold with the other half going to the Giants Community Fund. Tickets will be sold at the new 50/50 kiosk behind home plate on the Promenade Level near the Community Clubhouse. Roving Raffle Team Members (wearing yellow 50/50 aprons) will also be selling tickets throughout the ballpark through the end of the 6th inning. The winning ticket number will be posted on the scoreboard and announced before the 8th inning.
