Street follows dad's Texas-sized feats

It's tough to forget Street is from Texas. But it's not because he speaks with a southern accent (he doesn't), or because he wears cowboy hats around the Angels' clubhouse (he doesn't do that either). It's simply because of his name. His first name is one letter away from matching the east Texas metropolis, but his last name carries more weight in the state.

Street's father, James, popularized the family name as a famous University of Texas quarterback long before Huston did so as an All-Star closer in the Majors. James Street went undefeated as the Longhorns' quarterback (20-0) and led the school to a national championship in 1969. He also played baseball at Texas and pitched the most recent perfect game in school history.

Huston followed in his father's footsteps at Texas, becoming one of the greatest closers in college baseball history. He helped the Longhorns win the national title in 2002 and was named the College World Series' Most Outstanding Player.
