NEW YORK -- The Rangers have the best record in the American League but not in the voting on the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot.
The rosters for the All-Star Game presented by MasterCard are scheduled to be announced July 5.

Ian Desmond is eighth among American League outfielders, although he entered Monday's game fifth in hitting in the AL with a .322 batting average. He was seventh with 54 runs scored and 10th with an .898 OPS. Among other Rangers on the ballot, Adrian Beltre is fourth at third, Elvis Andrus is fourth at shortstop and Robinson Chirinos is fifth at catcher.
