In Honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Phillies Announce 2016 Teacher All-Stars

Phillies honoring area's Top 10 Teacher All-Stars on the field, selected from 1,000+ nominations, for making a difference in student's lives on Friday, May 13

The Phillies are honoring the area's Top 10 Teacher All-Stars who have gone above and beyond in the classroom on Friday, May 13, during ENGIE Teacher Appreciation Night at Citizens Bank Park. The on-field recognition will take place before that night's 7:05 p.m. game against the Cincinnati Reds.
For the past 16 years, the Phillies have been honoring teachers in the region with the annual Teacher All-Star contest. Each year, the Phillies ask students and adults to nominate teachers who have had an extraordinary impact on their lives.
The 2016 Teacher All-Stars honorees are:
Elizabeth Angelo, Anne Frank Elementary School - Philadelphia, PA
Catherine Bala, Oaks Elementary School - Oaks, PA
Diana Callahan, Makefield Elementary School - Yardley, PA
Andrea Fink, East Lansdowne Elementary School - East Lansdowne, PA
Jim Fusco, Technical College High School (Brandywine) - Downingtown, PA
Marie Ireland, St. Joseph the Protector School - Glenside, PA
Stefani Kirk, Shawnee High School - Medford, NJ
Kimberley O'Brien, Saint Basil Academy - Jenkintown, PA
Lt. Col. James Turnbull, Coatesville High School - Coatesville, PA
Rebecca Walker, The Lincoln Center- West Chester, PA
The Top 10 Teacher All-Stars, along with their nominators, will be presented with a plaque in honor of their achievements. The Teacher All-Stars will also dance with the Phanatic in the 7th inning. In addition, a special Theme Night Ticket offer is available for teachers, along with their students and families, attending that night's game. Those who purchase this special ticket offer and show their school ID will receive a Phillies Teacher Appreciation Night travel mug, courtesy of ENGIE, available at all gates.
