Indians add more local flavor to concessions at Progressive Field

Great Lakes Brewing Co. and Dynomite Burgers join Right Field District at ballpark

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Indians brought even more local flavor to their new Right Field District on Wednesday, adding Great Lakes Brewing Co. and Dynomite Burgers to the growing list of Cleveland-area restaurants that will offer options at Progressive Field this season.

As part of the Indians' ongoing renovation project at their home ballpark -- in conjunction with its concessionaire, Delaware North -- the team wanted to create a concessions area filled with ties to the city and its neighborhoods. The Tribe now has five well-known eateries in the fold for the redesigned concourse area behind right field.

"We're proud to partner with two more Cleveland-based restaurants, adding to our long history of working with local companies," said Indians vice president of concessions Kurt Schloss. "Our partnership with Delaware North and our local restaurants continues to provide variety and value to our Cleveland fans."

In January, the Indians announced that Melt Bar and Grilled, Barrio and Sweet Moses would have stands within the new Right Field District.

Great Lakes, which became Ohio's first craft brewery in 1988 and is based in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, will offer a variety of its beers, including year-round brands, seasonal brews and rotating pub exclusives such as Rally Drum Red Ale. The Great Lakes stand will also have its Brewer's Barley pretzels and the Dortmunder Gold bratwurst.

"We're excited to offer our beer and food to Tribe fans and be a part of the exciting things the Indians have going on, both on and off the field," said Great Lakes co-founder Patrick Conway. "Cleveland's our hometown, and the Indians are our home team, so this is a perfect partnership in our eyes."

Dynomite, which has a location in Cleveland's Playhouse Square area, will offer a new burger option at Progressive Field, along with milkshakes. The featured burgers will include the Parallax (bacon and BBQ mayo), Cowell and Hubbard (mozzarella and smoked paprika mayo), L'Albatros (caramelized onions and red peppers) and Chinato (balsamic red onions and mortadella) burgers.

"We're proud to be an anchor in Cleveland and join with another Cleveland institution," said Dynomite creator Zack Bruell. "We're looking forward to Tribe fans experiencing our unique burgers and shakes."
