Indians invite a pair to Major League camp

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has signed free agents RHP SHAUN MARCUM and RHP DUSTIN MOLLEKEN to Minor League contracts with non-roster invitations to Major League camp.

Marcum, 32, was limited to 8 August appearances for AAA Columbus in 2014 as he rehabbed from July 2013 right shoulder surgery after signing a non-roster deal with Cleveland last December. The nine-year Major League veteran owns a 58-46 record with a 3.88 ERA in 188 games/161 starts (995.0IP, 925H, 429ER, 806K) with Toronto, Milwaukee and the New York Mets from 2005-2013.

Molleken, 30, has pitched professionally since 2003, posting a career Minor League ERA of 4.90 (538.2IP, 566H, 293ER, 181BB, 480K) since being selected in the 15th round of 2003 June draft by Pittsburgh. The Regina, Saskatchewan native is a four-time member of the Canadian National Team, including 4.0 scoreless innings in the 2013 World Baseball Classic. He has also pitched in the Colorado and Milwaukee organizations and compiled a 3.38 ERA in 28 appearances for Japan's Nippon Ham Fighters (29.1IP, 29H, 11ER, 23K) in 2012-13.
