Indians Make Three Roster Moves

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2017 Major League roster.

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2017 Major League roster:
Recalled LHP RYAN MERRITT (#54) from Triple-A Columbus.
Recalled RHP MIKE CLEVINGER (#52) from Triple-A Columbus (26th man for today's doubleheader)
Optioned LHP KYLE CROCKETT to Triple-A Columbus.
Merritt, 25, has spent the entire 2017 regular season to date with AAA Columbus, posting a mark of 6-5 with a 3.96 ERA in 12 games/11 starts (72.2IP, 82H, 32ER, 22BB, 56SO). Over his last 4 starts for the Clippers he is 3-1 with a 3.16 ERA (25.2IP, 27H, 9ER). He will be making his 2017 debut at the Major League level today at 2:10 PM ET in a starting assignment in Minnesota.
Clevinger, 26, has split the season between Cleveland and Triple-A Columbus, spending a month at the Major League level in the Indians rotation from May 7-June 6. With Cleveland, he has posted a mark of 2-3 with a 4.09 ERA in 7 games/6 starts (33.0IP, 23H, 15ER, 17BB, 38SO, .198 avg). With Columbus, he has a 2-3 record with a 2.65 ERA in 7 starts (34.0IP, 28H, 10ER, 14BB, 38SO, .228 avg). He will make his 7th start for the Indians tonight as the 26th man of tonight's day/night doubleheader in Minnesota.
