Indians place Mike Aviles on Medical Emergency List

CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster:
Placed INF MIKE AVILES on the Family Medical Emergency List, effective today.
Recalled INF/OF ZACH WALTERS (#6) from AAA Columbus.
Aviles is hitting .288 (15-52) with 11 runs scored, 3 doubles, 2 home runs and 4 RBI In 18 games for the Indians this season. Players can remain on Family Medical Emergency List for 3-to-7 days.
Walters spent the first three weeks of the season on the 15-day Disabled List with a right oblique strain prior to being activated and optioned to AAA Columbus on April 24. With the Clippers he has batted .239 (11-46) with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run and 9 RBI in 13 games (.333/.457/.790). He has appeared in games at third base (4), second base (2), first base (2), left field (2) and shortstop (1) during his tenure in Columbus.
