Indians recall LHP Scott Barnes from Columbus
The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the Major League roster:
Recalled LHP SCOTT BARNES from AAA Columbus.
Designated OF EZEQUIEL CARRERA for assignment.
Barnes has spent most of the season at Triple-A Columbus where he has gone 2-0 w/a 3.27 ERA in 8 relief outings (9.2IP, 8H, 4R/ER, 5BB, 10K, .250AVG) and has limited left-handed batters to a .222 (2-9) average against. Over his last 4 outings since April 20 he has an ERA of 1.93 (4.2IP, 3H, 1R/ER, 6K). He was with the Indians on April 28 as the 26th-man for that day's doubleheader and appeared in the day game (1.0IP, 1H, 2R/ER, HR, BB).
The 40-man roster is now at 39.
