The Cleveland Indians announced that in collaboration with MLB and the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program, Tribe shortstop Francisco Lindor plans to visit underprivileged youth, mainly those residing in urban and underserved communities, throughout the season. Lindor not only will be making stops in Cleveland, but will also visit kids in road cities.
 
Lindor has always expressed interest in helping others and this program will be a continuation of his positive impact on the community. During visits, Lindor will interact with young fans while teaching them baseball skills.
 
His first stop will be at the Philadelphia Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy on April 28 while the Indians are in Philadelphia, Pa. His next stop is planned for May 26 in Cleveland (details to be announced in near future).
 
Additionally, Lindor is committed to serving as the player ambassador for the Lindor Smile Squad program. The Lindor Smile Squad provides unique baseball experiences for children and adult athletes with disabilities by hosting a Miracle League athlete every Monday home game at Progressive Field.
 
To encourage kids to be active and participate in baseball, Lindor will appear on MLB Network's new weekly show geared toward kids, Play Ball, on Saturday, April 30 at 10:00AM ET. Hosted by Harold Reynolds and additional MLB Network analysts, Play Ball features one-on-one baseball demonstrations and conversations with top players and personalities in the game.
