CLEVELAND -- The streets of downtown Cleveland were quiet Tuesday morning when Indians manager Terry Francona zipped through on his scooter ahead of Game 6 of the World Series. The crowds around Progressive Field had not begun to form, making for a drama-free commute.
Before his daily trek to the ballpark, though, Francona did have a funny exchange with an employee in his building. On his way out, the manager noticed the woman struggling to move some room-service carts. Francona decided to help her and she expressed her gratitude.
"She was like, 'Thanks,'" Francona said. "And she goes, 'Man, this place is crazy.' She goes, 'Who do you want to win?'"

As he told the story, Francona burst into laughter.
"I'm going to go with the Indians," he continued. "That was funny."

This was not the first time that Francona went unrecognized in his own building. In May 2015, the manager was trying to get on an elevator at the same time as Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love. A security guard stopped Francona.
"I'm trying to get into the darn elevator. I'm tired," Francona said at the time. "Some security guy grabbed me. He said, 'Sir, sorry, you can't use this elevator.' I was like, 'Hey man, I'm going to my room. I don't want his autograph.' Kevin Love said, 'Hey man, he's OK.'"
