Tribe use of replay leads to big inning vs. White Sox

CHICAGO -- Chicago starter Felipe Paulino's pickoff of Cleveland's Nyjer Morgan at first base was overturned by replay review in the first inning of Saturday's contest at U.S. Cellular Field.

The original call by first-base umpire and crew chief Gerry Davis was that Paulino's throw to first baseman Jose Abreu caught Morgan, who had singled to start the game. Cleveland manager Terry Francona challenged the play, and the call was overturned after a 22-second review.

Morgan's pickoff would have been the second out of the inning and left nobody on base for the Indians. After the overturn, Paulino walked Jason Kipnis and Carlos Santana and surrendered Michael Brantley's two-run single to right-center. The Indians scored three overall in the first.
