Indians youth baseball registration now open for 2014 summer camps

Summer Camps now extended to week-long programs in six area locations; Progressive Field of Dreams Camp returns in late June

CLEVELAND, OH - Registration is now open for 2014 Indians Summer Camps, and the 'Progressive Field of Dreams Camp.' The Indians are expanding both programs in 2014, offering a complete baseball experience for children of different ages and skill levels.

Indians Summer Camps will now include five-day sessions that run from 9:00AM to 3:00PM daily. The camps are designed to help children ages 6-14 learn and improve their baseball skills by focusing on all areas of baseball, including hitting, throwing, base-running and fielding. Indians Summer Camps will take place at six locations across Ohio during the summer months, and will have activities in place in the event of inclement weather.

Camp Dates and Locations:

  • Twinsburg (Liberty Park): June 9 - 13
  • Mentor (Garfield Park): June 16 - 20
  • Independence (Elmwood Park): June 23 - 27
  • Bath (Bath Baseball Park): July 7 - July 11

The 'Progressive Field of Dreams Camp' will also return in 2014, with a three-day session at Progressive Field from June 30 to July 2, and will run from 9:00AM to 3:00PM each day. Campers will use the same facilities as the big-leaguers at Progressive Field, participating in drills in the team's bullpen and indoor batting cages, while also getting a tour of the Visitors' Clubhouse.

All participants will receive an Indians hat, Replica Jersey and a free on-field photo, as well as a report card with feedback and tips for improvement following the camp.
