LOS ANGELES -- D-backs third baseman Jake Lamb appears to be making significant progress in his rehab from a sprained left shoulder.
Lamb has been working out at the team's Salt River Fields facility in Scottsdale, Ariz., while the D-backs have been on the road.
"Jake Lamb had a really good day today," D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said before Friday night's game against the Dodgers. "I heard he was in the batting cage and took BP off a coach. He took ground balls, threw and felt very, very good.
"Tomorrow will be a normal progression, where he does everything like a normal pregame. He'll get on the field, take BP on the field, watch the flight of the ball, and also take ground balls and maybe throw across the diamond as well."
Lamb injured the shoulder April 2 while making a diving catch in foul territory and further aggravated it sliding headfirst into home in the 15th inning of an 8-7 D-backs win. He was diagnosed with a sprained AC joint the next day and landed on the 10-day disabled list.

Injury updates on Souza, Delgado
• Outfielder Steven Souza Jr., who has been on the DL with a strained right pectoral muscle suffered during Spring Training, was shut down earlier this week after experiencing some discomfort.
Souza also was given permission to take care of a family matter over the weekend, so he will return to baseball activities Monday.
• Reliever Randall Delgado (left oblique strain) is scheduled to make another rehab appearance for Class A Advanced Visalia on Saturday night.
