Jake "The Battery" Elmore Does It All

If Jake Elmore’s nickname isn’t “The Battery” from here on out, I don’t know what it should be. Tonight, the do-it-all player entered the game at catcher (his first appearance there) and then went in to pitch. He got himself a hit and pitched a scoreless inning, which was the only scoreless inning by a Houston pitcher. I guess you can call him “Mr. Do It All,” but “The Battery” is about a thousand times better.

Jake Elmore is the 14th player to play both battery positions and had at least 1 PA in a game since 1916.
