There can’t be a better feeling as a position player to come in and throw a 1-2-3 inning. Maybe if a reliever hits a home run, but that might be it. Gotta love the announcers making fun of him a little bit, too. Why look in for a sign when you’re Jamey Carroll? Because you have to keep the offense on their toes, that’s why. Especially if you’re throwing 74-78 mph.
