Left-handed starter Jason Lane allowed one run on six hits over seven innings Monday night as Triple-A El Paso took a 5-1 win at Nashville to stretch their winning streak to five games.

The Chihuahuas remained 1 1/2 games behind division-leading Las Vegas in the race for the Pacific Coast League's Pacific Southern title. Lane (9-8, 5.59 ERA) issued one walk while striking out three. Right-handed reliever Aaron Northcraft (6.29) allowed two hits over two scoreless innings to finish the win for 65-57 El Paso.

Right fielder Alex Dickerson was 3-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored to raise his batting average to .310. Catcher Rocky Gale (.307) was 3-for-5 with a run scored.

Left fielder Jake Goebbert (.289) had a double in three at-bats with two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base. Designated hitter Rymer Liriano (.278) was 2-for-4 with his 15th steal and a run scored. Second baseman Mike McCoy (.220) was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

There was considerable movement in the Padres' system Monday.

Infielder Taylor Lindsey cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week and was outrighted to Double-A San Antonio. Infielder Casey McElroy was sent to El Paso from San Antonio, and left-handed relief pitcher Frank Garces rejoined the Chihuahuas on option from the Padres.

Left-handed reliever Chris Rearick was transferred from El Paso to San Antonio. Infielder Ramiro Pena was placed on El Paso's seven-day disabled list with a sore shoulder.
