March 15th, 2016

PHOENIX -- The Dodgers made their first round of roster cuts on Monday, with no great surprises.
Pitcher Jharel Cotton was optioned, while non-roster pitchers Chris Anderson, Chase De Jong, Caleb Dirks, Lisalverto Bonilla and Jacob Rhame, catcher Kyle Farmer and outfielder Alex Hassan were reassigned.
Cotton is ranked as the Dodgers' ninth-best prospect. Anderson, a former first-round Draft pick, is ranked No. 17, De Jong No. 20, Rhame No. 22 and Farmer No. 30.
Dirks had a back injury since the beginning of camp and never appeared in a game.
