Mets sign righty Henderson to Minors deal

The Mets have signed right-hander Jim Henderson to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Major League Spring Training.

Henderson, 33, made 111 career relief appearances in the Major Leagues from 2012-14 with the Brewers.

He pitched primarily for Triple-A Colorado Springs last year in his first season after having shoulder surgery in 2014. In 29 games (one start) with the Sky Sox, Henderson went 1-1 with a 4.55 ERA (29 2/3 innings).
