Dodgers' trio of young sluggers providing the pop

Seager, Thompson, Pederson string together multi-homer games

LOS ANGELES -- One house, three roommates, none above the age of 25, and eight homers in four games. Those are the numbers of Corey Seager, Trayce Thompson and Joc Pederson.
Pederson's two home runs in Tuesday night's 5-1 win over the Angels were the latest in a streak of back-to-back-to-back multi-homer games for the Dodgers' three young sluggers.
"I think it says a lot about the current state of the Dodgers, as well as our future going forward," manager Dave Roberts said. "These are three young men, they hang out together, they room together, they laugh together, they do a lot of the right things, ask a lot of the right questions, and they play the game the right way."

The trio entered Tuesday night's game tied for the team lead in home runs with six and fought it out from there. Pederson took the lead in the fourth inning with a two-run homer to right. Seager struck back in the seventh with a solo shot to right, but Pederson responded with a 406-foot blast to center field to move back on top.
"They might have a little side wager going," Roberts said.
Both players denied such speculation.
The three housemates have more home runs than the rest of the team combined, 21 to 18.
The wonder surrounding the power surge emanating from the young players' pad has gotten to the point where, after Seager went deep, A.J. Ellis was calling for a sleepover. Pederson second homer only amplified the refrain.
"We've been asked when's the next slumber party," Pederson said. "We're just sticking to the routine. I think hitting is contagious, and it's fun to be around Corey and Trayce, such great hitters."
Seager, at 22, is he youngest of the three. He also happens be the hottest hitter, currently riding an eight-game hit streak in which he has five multi-hit games, five home runs, and seven RBIs.
"It doesn't matter who's doing it. Somebody's got to step up. Somebody's got to drive in runs," Seager said. "[Clayton] Kershaw threw the ball great tonight, so he stepped up. It's one of those things that's a full team effort, and right now, everything's clicking."
