Jon Lester said goodbye to Red Sox Nation with a full-page thank you ad in the Boston Globe. Lester, who won two World Series titles during his time with the Boston Red Sox, was traded to the Oakland Athletics in a blockbuster move on Thursday. In the ad, Lester writes that "Boston will always be home." Classy move from the lefty ace.
Roy Halladay took out a similar ad thanking Phillies fans after retiring this past offseason.
