November 14th, 2016

Rangers catcher will play for Team USA in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, according to MLB Network contributor Joel Sherman.
The 30-year-old catcher, who was traded to Texas from the Brewers just prior to the non-waiver Trade Deadline on Aug. 1, will be participating in his second WBC tournament, also having competed for Team USA in 2013.
Lucroy hit .292/.355/.500 with 24 home runs and 81 RBIs overall in 2016, his seventh Major League season. In three games during the '13 WBC, the two-time All-Star went 2-for-5 with an RBI as Team USA was eliminated by Puerto Rico in the second round.

Lucroy will join Nationals right-hander , Rays righty , Rockies third baseman and Orioles center fielder , all of whom have already announced that they will suit up for Team USA.
