De La Rosa goes four frames in rehab start

DENVER -- Rockies left-handed pitcher Jorge De La Rosa pitched four innings and gave up one run in an injury rehab start for Triple-A Albuquerque against Reno on Thursday night.

De La Rosa, on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain, gave up four hits -- including a Peter O'Brien solo homer in the second -- struck out three and walked two, and he finished with 38 strikes on 57 pitches.

If De La Rosa checks out physically, he could join Colorado's rotation on Wednesday at San Francisco. Wednesday's start was De La Rosa's first game action since March 20 -- his only Cactus League action -- when he left with a recurrence of the groin tightness that affected him throughout Spring Training.
