Abreu has been plagued by a slow start this year, but things started to pick up for the right-handed hitter this past weekend in Detroit. He finished 5-for-12 in the series with a long home run off Justin Verlander on Sunday.
Cabrera leads the White Sox with a .275 batting average to go with four home runs and 24 RBIs.
