Astros trio on pace for All-Star start

HOUSTON -- With nine days remaining until MLB All-Star Ballot voting closes at 10:59 p.m. CT on June 29, three Astros maintained their top spots at respective positions on the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot.
In the most recent ASG ballot update on Tuesday, Astros second baseman (2,185,035 votes) maintained second base's starting slot by nearly 700,000 votes in front of Yankees' .
Shortstop , with 1,658,255 first-place votes, held a 350,000-vote lead ahead of Cleveland's at 1,300,013. Since moving into one of the top three outfielder starting spots in last week's update, (1,176,951 votes) remained as a starter but is in a close race for third place with 's 1,001,254 votes.

Astros catcher hopped from third to second at catcher. McCann, with 1,051,138 votes, trails 's 1,453,088 first-place votes.
Other Astros on the ballot include third baseman , 668,450 (fifth place); designated hitter Evan Gattis, 713,918 (fifth place); outfielder , 834,067 (seventh place); and outfielder , 656,317 (11th place).
Fans may cast votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, June 29, at 10:59 p.m. CT. On smartphones and tablets, fans can also access the ballot via the MLB.com At Bat and MLB.com Ballpark mobile apps. Vote up to five times in any 24-hour period for a maximum of 35 ballots cast.
Following the announcement of the 2017 All-Star starters, reserves and pitchers, fans should return to MLB.com and cast their 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote for the final player on each league's All-Star roster. Then on Tuesday, July 11, while watching the 2017 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard live on FOX, fans may visit MLB.com to submit their choices for the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet with the 2017 MLB All-Star Game MVP Vote.
