Juan Perez placed on the 60-day DL

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have placed LHP JUAN PEREZ on the 60-day disabled list with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow and have recalled RHP MICKEY STOREY. The club has also returned RHP DREW HUTCHISON from his medical rehabilitation assignment, activated him from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Buffalo of the International League (AAA).

PEREZ, 34, has made 19 relief appearances for the Blue Jays this season posting a 1-2 record with a 3.69 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched. The 6-0, 170 lb. native of San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic began his Blue Jays career by pitching 22.0 consecutive scoreless innings to establish a club record. 

STOREY, 27, returns to the Blue Jays after posting a 0-1 record in 30 relief appearances for Buffalo with an ERA of 2.79. The 6-1, 185 lb. right-handed pitcher appeared in two games for Toronto earlier this season and had an ERA of 7.36 in 3 2/3 innings pitched. 

HUTCHISON, 21, has spent the 2013 season on the disabled list after recovering from right elbow surgery which cut short his 2012 season. The 21 year old right-hander made six appearances on his rehabilitation assignment posting a 2-0 record with a 4.95 ERA. The 6-2, 195 lb. native of Lakeland Florida appeared for Dunedin (A), New Hampshire (AA) and Buffalo (AAA).
