ATLANTA -- After Julio Teheran bid adieu to his first season at SunTrust Park with an encouraging start, the Braves salvaged his effort with an eighth-inning rally that provided them a 4-2 win over the Phillies Saturday night.
"It was a good overall game and well played," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "It was high-energy and guys were getting after it."
Phillies reliever Luis Garcia's bid to help Henderson Alvarez record what would have been his first win in exactly three years evaporated in the eighth, as Dansby Swanson delivered a game-tying single which was followed by Johan Camargo's game-winning, two-run pinch-hit double.

"He seems more comfortable out there, but once again, it comes down to making clutch hits, making clutch plays and making clutch pitches," Phillies manager Pete Mackanin said of Garcia. "We're looking to win a World Series. You've got to be clutch."
Teheran allowed two runs (one earned) over seven innings, but his only support came courtesy of Rio Ruiz's sixth-inning home run off reliever Kevin Siegrist. The Braves stranded eight on base in the first seven innings.

After starting with a 6.98 ERA at SunTrust Park through 12 starts, Teheran limited opponents to eight earned runs over his final 25 1/3 innings (four starts) at home. His final pitch of the season in Atlanta resulted in Odubel Herrera's seventh-inning bases-loaded groundout.
"It is huge to finish that way as it was a little struggle at the beginning [of the season]," Teheran said. "It is something that I want to continue next season. We were worried because I wanted to do good, especially in the park that we play the most. I am glad that I found a way and we got to keep going."
Alvarez delivered five scoreless innings after gaining an early lead courtesy of Rhys Hoskins' two-out RBI double in the first. He allowed a leadoff walk and had runners on the corners with one out in the fifth, but a strikeout and groundout ended the threat and preserved his scoreless outing.

Arodys Vizcaino secured his 13th save by striking out the side in the ninth inning. Vizcaino has recorded a strike with 21 of the 27 pitches thrown over the two appearances made since Wednesday, when he issued a bases-loaded walk to the only three Nationals batters faced.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Manufactured rally: After Matt Adams delivered a two-out single in the eighth, Micah Johnson entered as a pinch-runner and promptly stole second base. He sprinted from second base on Swanson's single to right and slid around Phillies catcher Cameron Rupp, who bobbled Nick Williams' throw. Three batters later, Camargo drilled his two-out double to the right-center field gap
"It's great, and you can't replicate that anywhere but here on this stage," Snitker said. "It was a great crowd and they were into it. Great at-bats by both of them, with Dansby going the other way and Camargo hitting tough pitches. It was a really good decision and some good at-bats."
Making it work: The Phillies scored a run without hitting a ball out of the infield during the fifth, which began with Maikel Franco's infield single. Franco advanced to third base with a walk and groundout before crossing the plate on a passed ball by Braves catcher Tyler Flowers.

"He went in there and didn't want to take me out. Whenever you see the manager give you that confidence, it is big, especially when you get in trouble with the bases loaded. Braves: Atlanta will close out its first season at SunTrust Park during Sunday's series finale against Philadelphia. Highly regarded prospect Luiz Gohara is scheduled to deliver the game's first pitch at 1:35 p.m. in what will be his fourth Major League start.
