The Storm Chasers posted their first shutout of 2014. Aaron Brooks (4.0 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 3 SO), Justin Marks (3.0 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 3 SO) and Buddy Baumann (2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 1 SO) combined on a four-hitter. Francisco Pena's homer in the second gave Omaha a 2-0 lead. Christian Colon added two hits, an RBI and a run. Matt Fields singled, extending his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games (.432, 19-for-44).

The Naturals played 20 innings of baseball on Tuesday as the second contest went 13 innings instead of the scheduled seven. Midland scored five in the 13th off of infielder Jared Schlehuber. Starter Tim Melville tossed 5.0 shutout innings, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out five. Jorge Bonifacio recorded three hits, including a double. Northwest Arkansas was held to one hit in the first game, a fifth inning single by Justin Trapp. Jason Adam pitched 4.0 innings, allowing the lone run on two hits and three walks.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (5-6)

Wilmington at Lynchburg - Postponed due to rain

Wilmington's opener at Lynchburg was postponed due to rain and unplayable field conditions. A doubleheader is scheduled for tonight, with game one to start at 5:05 Eastern. Miguel Almonte will start the first game and Yender Caramo will begin the nightcap.

Lexington Legends (7-6)

The Legends were held to three runs after scoring 17 in the opener. Samir Duenez doubled and drove in two runs. Fred Ford posted two hits, two runs and his league-leading 14th RBI. Starter Andrew Edwards tossed 5.0 scoreless innings, holding Rome to four hits and a walk.
