Danny Duffy scattered five hits, a walk and two runs over 6.0 innings as Omaha finished with a 2-2 record vs. Nashville. Leadoff man Brett Eibner was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs. Christian Colon doubled home two in the fifth and scored on a double by Johnny Giavotella. Carlos Peguero was 0-for-4 in his Omaha debut.

NW Arkansas Naturals (2-2)

Northwest Arkansas lost the series opener as Midland's Dusty Coleman hit a two-run homer in the eighth. The Naturals took an early lead on Justin Trapp's single in the second, which scored Jared Schlehuber. Sugar Ray Marimon tossed 6.0 scoreless innings, holding the RockHounds to three hits.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (2-2)

Wilmington settled for a 2-2 mark at Winston-Salem. Zane Evans continued his hot hitting, finishing 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI. A fourth-round pick out of Georgia Tech in 2013, Evans batted .556 (10-for-18) with six doubles and five RBI in the opening series. He had at least one double and one RBI in each game.

Lexington earned a 2-2 split. The Legends turned the first triple play in team history, a 1-6-3-2 version in the second inning (Luis Santos to Humberto Arteaga to Samir Duenez to Frank Schwindel). KC's 18th-round pick in 2013, Schwindel was 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI.
