Kauffman Stadium to hold School Day at the K

KANSAS CITY -- The largest educational field trip in Kansas City is coming to Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday, May 14.

The 16th annual School Day at the K, sponsored by the Royals and Fox 4 WDAF-TV, annually attracts more than 20,000 students.

Gates to the stadium will open at 8:30 a.m. prior to the 1:10 p.m. CT game against the Colorado Rockies. The first 10,000 students will receive a weather DVD.

The Fox 4 weather team will hold a science and weather program starting at 10 a.m. CT before the students watch the game.
