Williams has three messages for fans on Presidents' Day

CHICAGO -- A trip to Arizona makes White Sox executive vice president Ken Williams' "bones and joints feel better," or so he said before leaving the Chicago cold for the warmth of Spring Training. Of course, the exceptional work done by Williams, general manager Rick Hahn and the front office over the offseason to boost the White Sox roster into potential playoff contention has to make him feel fairly comfortable as well.

With those eight impact moves in mind, Williams had the following three messages for the fan base before pitchers and catchers report on Friday.

• "We have a little flair to us, and I think our fans are really going to like this team."

• "We've got a little bit of depth now. We've got some entertaining, special players."

• "Expect a hard-nosed, grind-it-out, passionate team."
