MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that Dan Larrea has been promoted to the position of Senior Director – Team Travel.

Larrea, 43, joined the Brewers in 1996 as a member of the Media Relations department.  He was named Director – Team Travel in 1997.

Larrea is responsible for coordinating all phases of travel logistics for Brewers players, coaches and front office staff, including all Spring Training arrangements in Maryvale, Arizona. His duties include arranging hotel rooms, buses, air travel, baggage transportation, game tickets and per diems for Spring Training, the regular season and the postseason. In his new role, he will also oversee all Clubhouse and Equipment staff for the Brewers.

“Dan has been a valued member of our staff for more than 15 years, and he is highly deserving of this promotion,” said Brewers president of Baseball Operations – General Manager Doug Melvin. “He is not only well-respected by those of us in the organization, but also by those within the industry.”

Prior to joining the Brewers, Larrea was a graduate intern in the Media Relations department of the Denver Broncos in 1995.  Larrea earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California-Santa Barbara in 1992, where he played rugby and was selected to the Southern California Collegiate All-Star Team.  He received his master’s degree in sport management at the University of Massachusetts in 1995.
