• Former first-round Draft pick Mark Rogers exited a relief outing at Double-A Huntsville on Tuesday after nine pitches, complaining of "tingling" in his right arm, said Brewers assistant GM Gord Ash. Rogers, who has been on a Minor League rehabilitation assignment trying to build velocity, was examined by a doctor on Wednesday but Ash said the club did not expect to have definitive information to release for another day or so.

"We're still working our way through what to do with him next," Ash said.

• Right-hander Wily Peralta turned 24 on Wednesday, a day after he beat the Rangers with six quality innings.

• The speedy Brewers entered Wednesday's games leading the Majors with 42 infield hits, three more than the Angels and eight more than the third-place Rockies. The top two hitters in Milwaukee's batting order, Norichika Aoki and Jean Segura, were tied for the Major League lead with 10 infield hits apiece, and three-hole hitter Ryan Braun was tied for sixth with seven infield hits.

• Manager Ron Roenicke got a firsthand report of Francisco Rodriguez's season debut from his son, Lance, an outfielder at Class A Brevard County. Rodriguez pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the Manatees in the first of three scheduled outings before a possible promotion to Triple-A Nashville.

• Roenicke showed a sense of humor about his batting order.

"You've got a guy who's hitting sixth [Carlos Gomez] leading the league in hitting, and the guy who's leading our team in homers and RBIs [Yuniesky Betancourt], I've got him hitting eighth," Roenicke said. "I may not be the smartest manager."
