• Roenicke said the Brewers got a chance to tour the catwalk above Miller Park prior to Friday's game against the Cardinals.

"I'm scared of heights. A little uneasy," Roenicke said. "You don't want to look down that much. They just offered to take us up there, and they showed us how some things work. It's pretty neat."

Carlos Gomez took home the Brewers' "We Energies High-Energy Player of the Year" award, which was announced in a pregame ceremony prior to Friday's opener against the Cardinals.

The award, presented to the player that best personifies the characteristics of hard work and an aggressive approach to playing the game, was voted on by fans, media members and We Energies.
