Lewis Brinson seems to be enjoying life in the Brewers' organization.
The No. 18 overall prospect (Brewers' No. 2) has done nothing but rake since he was acquired from Texas before the non-waiver Trade Deadline and that theme continued Thursday night with a pair of homers in Triple-A Colorado Springs' 5-0 win over Oklahoma City.

Brinson's first multi-homer game of the season was the latest feat in an impressive stretch. The 22-year-old prospect is hitting .414 with four homers and 17 RBIs through his first 15 games with the Sky Sox.

Brinson got off to a fast start Thursday night, hammering a solo homer to left in his first at-bat. Brinson went deep in his next at-bat -- also to left -- in the third.
And in case the two homers weren't enough, he also flashed some leather and made a diving catch in left-center in the bottom of the third inning.

In three games since returning from the disabled list due to a strained left hamstring, Brinson is 6-for-12 with six RBIs and four extra-base hits.

• No. 28 overall prospect Mickey Moniak (Phillies' No. 2) had a trio of extra-base hits with the GCL Phillies. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 Draft went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a triple in his club's 7-2 win. After his third three-hit game, the 18-year-old is hitting .289 through 42 games.
• No. 44 overall prospect Brent Honeywell (Rays' No. 2) has gone 14 consecutive innings without surrendering a run after firing seven scoreless frames for Double-A Montgomery. Honeywell threw 60 of his 83 pitches for strikes, struck out four and gave up a pair of hits.

• No. 58 overall prospect Jesse Winker (Reds' No. 3) continued his torrid August with a 3-for-5 night. The 23-year-old drove in two runs and is hitting .341 this month and an even .300 through 95 games with Triple-A Louisville.
• The hits are starting to come in bunches for Mets' No. 2 prospect Dominic Smith (No. 60 overall). After going 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Double-A Binghamton, the first baseman has hits in six of his past seven games and has put together three-hit performances in three of his past four.
• Daniel Gossett (Athletics' No. 19) notched double-digit strikeouts for the first time in his career, fanning 10 over seven innings for Double-A Midland. Gossett, 23, gave up one run and scattered four hits throughout his start. The right-hander has now given up just one earned run in eight of his past nine starts.
• Touki Toussaint (Braves' No. 10) is finishing August on a high note after throwing six innings of one-run ball for Class A Rome. Toussaint gave up five hits and struck out nine on 97 pitches (60 strikes) and has surrendered one earned run in four consecutive starts.
• Braves' No. 15 prospectRio Ruiz had quite a night offensively, going 2-2 with a double, homer, two walks and five RBIs for Triple-A Gwinnett. The five RBIs, a season high, bring Ruiz's RBI count to 56 on the season and 19 in August.

• Austin Slater (Giants' No. 22) is quite possibly the hottest hitter in baseball right now. The outfielder, who was named to the most recent Prospect Team of the Week, went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for Triple-A Sacramento. Slater has six homers in the past six games and is hitting .402 with eight homers and 24 RBIs in August.

• Jhoan Urena (Mets' No. 17) put together his fifth game with at least three hits for Class A Advanced St. Lucie. The 21-year-old third baseman went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a pair of doubles.
• Mets' No. 23 prospect Ricardo Cespedes jogged around the bases for the first time in the Minors as he hit his first professional homer for Rookie-level Kingsport. If the homer wasn't enough of a thrill, the 19-year-old also had a four-hit day, going 4-for-5 with two RBIs.
• Roman Quinn (Phillies' No. 8) continues to show off his pop as he homered again for Double-A Reading. Quinn has six homers this season with three in the past four games. The outfielder also doubled and finished 3-for-5.

• Phillies' No. 29 prospectAlberto Tirado continued his hot streak with a career-high 11 strikeouts. The 21-year-old gave up one run on three hits in five innings for Class A Lakewood to continue a string of strong outings. Tirado has given up two earned runs or fewer in 11 consecutive starts and one earned run or fewer in four of his past five.
• Reds' No. 18 prospect Blake Trahan was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs for Class A Advanced Daytona. The young shortstop has hits in 10 of his past 11 games and is hitting .259 through 122 games.
• Twins' No. 6 prospect Fernando Romero has put up nothing but zeros over his past 20 1/3 innings. The 21-year-old scattered two hits over seven scoreless frames for Class A Advanced Fort Myers and lowered his ERA to 1.88 in 11 starts with the club. Romero threw 60 of his 87 pitches for strikes, struck out nine and hasn't given up an earned run in four of his past five starts.
• Twins' No. 30 prospect Lachlan Wells made it three consecutive starts without allowing an earned run as he spun six scoreless frames for Class A Cedar Rapids. The 19-year-old lefty struck out five, gave up one hit and dropped his ERA to 1.94 through 11 starts.
• Jordan Montgomery (Yankees' No. 20) extended his scoreless streak to 24 1/3 scoreless innings with 5 2/3 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 23-year-old lefty, who allowed the first hit in the fifth inning against the Chiefs, last gave up an earned run on August 2 and has pitched to a 0.58 ERA in five Triple-A starts.
