LHP David Rollins claimed off waivers by Chicago-NL

Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster move:
David Rollins, LHP, claimed off waivers by Chicago-NL.
The Mariners Major League 40-man roster is now at 36 players.
Rollins, 26 (turns 27 on Dec. 21), was 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA (8 ER, 9.1 IP) with 6 strikeouts in 11 relief appearances in five stints with Seattle (June 17, June 24-July 4, July 6-19, July 23-29 & Sept. 4-end of season). With AAA Tacoma, he was 5-0 with a 3.77 ERA (19 ER, 45.1 IP) with 32 strikeouts and 6 walks in 37 games. In parts of two seasons with Seattle, he was 1-2 with a 7.60 ERA (29 ER, 34.1 IP) with 27 strikeouts in 31 relief appearances. He was selected by Seattle from Houston as the 12th pick in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 Draft on Dec. 11, 2014. He was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays after being selected in the 24th round of the 2011 June Amateur Draft from San Jacinto College, North Campus (Houston, TX). The left-hander was previously drafted twice by the Seattle Mariners in the June amateur draft; in the 23rd round of the 2009 draft and in the 46th round of the 2010 draft.
