The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster move relative to the 2017 Major League roster:
Merritt, 25, has spent most of the season on the Triple-A Columbus Clippers roster, posting a mark of 6-5 with a 3.68 ERA in 13 games/12 starts (80.2IP, 85H, 33ER, 22BB, 66SO). He made a spot start in the day game of the June 17 doubleheader at Minnesota, recording a no decision in the 9-3 Indians win (4.0IP, 7H, 3R/2ER, 0BB, 2SO).
