Japan is on top of the Little League Baseball world once again.

The kids from Tokyo Kitasuna faced a two-run deficit only to reel off 12 unanswered runs and knock off Southwest (Lufkin, Texas), 12-2, to capture the country's fifth championship in eight years. With three runs in the second, four in the fourth and five in the fifth, Japan cruised to a victory via mercy rule.

Sunday was a big day for Little League Baseball, as Mexico defeated Southeast (Greenville, N.C.) in the consolation game, 14-8, before Japan won the title. After a summer full of fun and excitement, after weeks in Williamsport, Pa., it all came down to this day. And it did not disappoint.

Sunday was also the conclusion of the fun-filled Players Weekend around the Majors.
