Forsythe collects 3 hits, exits with groin tightness

BALTIMORE -- Logan Forsythe had to leave Tuesday night's 11-2 win over the Orioles due to tightness in his left groin.

The Rays' second baseman had just collected his third hit of the night in the top of the fifth inning when the Orioles made a pitching change. At that point, Rays manager Kevin Cash and one of the team's trainers visited Forsythe on the field.

Forsythe remained in the game and scored on Brandon Guyer's double, but he left prior to the bottom half of the inning and was replaced at second base by Tim Beckham.

Forsythe is listed as day to day, but Cash said he expected Forsythe to play on Wednesday in the series finale against the Orioles.
