Logan Verrett returned to Mets

The New York Mets today announced that righthanded pitcher Logan Verrett was returned to the organization from the Texas Rangers and outrighted to Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. Verrett was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2014 Rule 5 Draft before he was claimed off waivers by the Rangers on April 2.

Verrett, 24, was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA (six earned runs/9.0 innings) in four games in relief for the Rangers this year. He made his major league debut on April 8 at Oakland with 2.2 innings.

The 6-2, 190-pounder was 11-5 with a 4.33 ERA (78 earned runs/162.0 innings) in 28 starts last year for Las Vegas.
