Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation presents inaugural Blue Diamond Gala honoring the Jackie Robinson Foundation, the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education and LA84 Foundation

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) announced today its inaugural Blue Diamond Gala honoring the Jackie Robinson Foundation, The Los Angeles Fund for Public Education and the LA84 Foundation on Thursday, April 16 at Dodger Stadium. Award recipients are: Rachel Robinson, founder of The Jackie Robinson Foundation, Megan Chernin, President & CEO of The Los Angeles Fund for Public Education, and Anita DeFrantz, President of the LA84 Foundation. Los Angeles Dodger players and coaches will attend. Additional special guests include Dodger legends Tommy Lasorda, Don Newcombe, Jaime Jarrín and Vin Scully.

The event will kick off with a VIP reception hosted by Dodger owner Earvin "Magic" Johnson at Top of the Park within Dodger Stadium, and a cocktail reception on the grass in center field. The evening's events will continue with dinner and awards on the infield dirt featuring Dodger players, alumni, coaches and broadcasters at each table. Dinner highlights include a fashion show by Ted Baker London modeled by Dodger players and a performance by Grammy nominated artist, Aloe Blacc.

"This will be a great evening at Dodger Stadium," said Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Dodger owner and Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation board member. "LADF is proud to share our programs with the LA community in hopes that we encourage others to collaborate with us in creating significant impact in the lives of youth. The Jackie Robinson Foundation
