Pina exits game with right calf tightness

Catcher not expected to need disabled list stint

ST. LOUIS -- Brewers catcher left Tuesday's game against the Cardinals in the top of the seventh inning. The Brewers announced that he exited with right calf tightness.
Pina was on first base after walking. A couple of pitches later, Brewers manager Craig Counsell ran onto the field with a trainer to talk to Pina, who then limped off on his own power.
"It's been bugging him for a while -- minor, but it aggravated him enough tonight to take him out," Counsell said.
Pina, who was 1-for-1 and had reached all three times at bat, was replaced in the game by . The Brewers eventually lost, 3-2, in 11 innings.
Counsell said Bandy will start Wednesday's game against the Cardinals. No roster move is expected and Counsell said Pina could play if needed on an emergency basis.
Pina will be re-evaluated before the Brewers begin their three-game series Friday in New York against the Mets.
