Clearly, the Padres have struggled of late.
We'll get into those numbers later.
But two outfielders -- Manuel Margot and William Myers -- are on very impressive runs for the Padres.
Although he was only 1-for-5 Sunday with his 20th double, Margot extended his hitting streak to a career-best 10 straight games. He is 14-for-37 during the streak (.378) with three doubles, a triple, a home run, five walks, two stolen bases, three RBIs and 10 runs scored - for a .452 on-base percentage, a .595 slugging percentage and a 1.046 OPS.  
The only Padre with a longer hitting streak than Margot this season is Christian Villanueva, who had an 11-game streak in April.
Myers has 10 RBIs in his past 10 games while going 11-for-34 (.324) with five doubles and a home run. During July, Myers has nine doubles, a triple, eight home runs and 23 RBIs in 22 games for a .664 slugging percentage.

• Here are some of those numbers regarding the Padres. Going into Monday night's opener of a two-game series against the Giants at Petco Park: The Padres have lost 5 straight and are 2-12 over the last 14 games and 8-26 since June 15. They are 18-33 at Petco Park and 1-16 in the first games of their 17 home series.
• Continuing down that path, the Padres are 5-18 in July. During the month, Padres starting pitchers have a 7.36 earned run average. That's more than a run and a half worse than the 29th place team - the Kansas City Royals. And as A.J. Cassavell pointed out Sunday, Padres starters have only four quality starts in July while starters have given up five or more runs 11 times.
• The Padres bullpen worked 4 2/3 scoreless innings Sunday a game after going from best to worst statistically among National League bullpens since the All-Star break. Padres relievers gave up five runs in four innings Saturday night - raising the bullpen ERA since the All-Star break from 1.40 to 6.22.u9:p
